Rob joined Equis Law Group, LLC as a principal shortly after its inception and has over 30 years of experience as a real estate and commercial transactions attorney. Rob specializes in managing complex real estate transactions, representing real estate developers, investors, and retailers on the acquisition, leasing, development, and disposition of retail, office and industrial properties. His clients appreciate his business-centric approach to providing practical legal solutions while balancing risk and opportunity.
Prior to joining Equis, Rob was a Senior Attorney at Charles J. Benvenuto, P.C. where he focused in leasing and development of retail and office properties. Prior to joining Charles L. Benvenuto, P.C., Rob enjoyed a 34-year career at Walgreen Co., serving most recently as Divisional Vice President of Community & Real Estate Law and Divisional Vice President of Corporate and Transactional Law. In these roles, he partnered with the General Counsel, C-Suite and other executives in formulating business/legal strategies across multiple business units and geographies.
Outside the office, Rob has served as a board member of Northbrook Baseball, shared his legal expertise at ACC Chicago Street Law Diversity Pipeline Program, and volunteered for The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center. In addition, Rob is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA).
